What is Graduated Exposure Therapy?

Graduated exposure therapy is the process of gradually and methodically increasing a persons exposure to more and more aspects of what it is they fear. This method of therapy is used to build up a persons resilience and reinforce the lack of dire consequences they are imagining.

How we can help

Our practitioners are well versed in both recognising the need for and implementing graduated exposure therapy in the right circumstances. This is not a therapy process that will work for everyone, but often cases of social anxiety and phobias can be addressed and improved upon when provided a safe and gradual space with an experienced supporter.
