Medicare Rebates
Our Clinicians are all approved Medicare Providers. You can obtain a Medicare referral to see School Refusal Clinic ('SRC') by discussing with your GP, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist your eligibility for this service, and requesting a referral to SRC. If you or your child are eligible for a referral under the Medicare ‘Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)’ you can claim a rebate (of $77.80 per session) for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. You can also access 10 Medicare rebates of $19.80 per calendar year for group sessions. If you have any questions at all, give us a call at the clinic on 0493 111 332 to find out more. 

Private Health Insurance Rebates
If you are not claiming rebates through Medicare, you may be able to claim a rebate on sessions through your Private Health Insurance, dependent upon your extras benefits. Please speak with your Insurance Company to determine your level of cover.

NDIS

SRC is able to provide services under the NDIS funding program for both self and plan managed NDIS participants.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes you simply cannot attend your appointment. To avoid attracting a cancellation fee, please give notice of your cancellation within the following time periods, it's in your interest to give more rather than less notice as all bookings are subject to this cancellation policy. 

Our cancellation policy is based upon the rationale that a booking is a request that your clinician will set aside time exclusively for your booking. Having set this time aside, if you are unable to use it, it may not be easily filled at short notice by anyone else. We believe this is a fair and reasonable policy and thank you for understanding. 

In the event of a cancellation, the following cancellation fees will apply:

• More than 48hrs notice = No fee charged.

• Between 24-48 hrs notice = $50 cancellation fee will apply.

• Less than 24 hrs notice = $75 cancellation fee will apply.

• Cancellation on the day of the appointment = $100 cancellation fee will apply.

• Does not attend the appointment = full session fee will apply. (our standard fee is $200 for in house 1 hour sessions) This fee will only be incurred if no contact has been made prior to the session. An email or phone call giving notice prior to your booking will be sufficient to reduce this fee to $100.
